I am looking for a PhD program that will allow me to study both neuroscience and chemistry (probably focusing my research on chemistry). Any suggestions for interdisciplinary programs like the UNC’s BBSP program would be awesome!
Any major biochemistry program should have one or more labs studying neurotransmitters or neurological disorders.
PhD programs tend to be pretty flexible, and most neuroscience PhD programs are interdisciplinary. I’d imagine there are probably several places where you get a PhD in chemistry and study neuroscientific applications, or vice versa.
That said, there are lots of biomedical sciences PhDs programs. Columbia has one, for sure.
