Combined Plan Admissions 2018-2019

Estimated date we receive decisions?

Did you get Columbia’s email? They said they will release ALL decisions on March 28 after 7 pm.

https://undergrad.admissions.columbia.edu/apply/combined-plan

If you scroll down to the timeline, it says April 2018 the decisions will be released but since they sent out an email, it’s more than likely that it will be released on March 28 along with the regular first-year admissions.

You got an email today? Did you apply to the combined plan? Can you also post the email?

Could you explain more about this email @webgirl1 ???

I read that freshman applicants received notification on March 28th, is that what you are speaking of? I have read and heard that in the past it is the first Friday in April that combined plan descisions are released.

Yeah, I don’t think they meant all decisions, but hopefully ours will be soon.

Any update?

I haven’t received any communication from Columbia. I guess maybe next Friday? Have any of y’all heard anything?

I haven’t heard anything either. I saw in another thread that the website was updated at 7 PM on the first Friday of April. Hopefully, that means tonight.

Which thread did you see that the site was updated @ColumbiaUni ?
Also, I think they would have sent out an email earlier this week saying the decisions will be available after 5pm on friday if we were to know today. But do keep us updated if anyone figures out anything with regards to decisions.

Our liaison said that Columbia is supposed to send out Combined Plan notices today around 5 pm.

Yep. Decisions came out today. Accepted!

Decisions are out! Accepted!

Waitlisted with a 3.8 GPA and several prestigious internships(McKinsey, Morgan Stanley etc…). If students like me are not who Columbia SEAS pursues, but instead those with mere 3.3s and no industry experience, then I’m not interested in attending anyway. Best of luck to you guys/girls.

This is the letter I revived is pasted below. Did I get wait listed? I don’t understand why I would - I meet the requirements for guaranteed.

LETTER:

The Committee on Admissions has voted to postpone a final decision on your application to the Combined Plan Program at Columbia University’s Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science. Your application will be reconsidered after we review your spring semester academic performance, and the committee will make a final decision at that time.

If your interest in the Combined Plan program remains strong, please email combinedplan@columbia.edu by Tuesday, May 1, 2018. Please include your name and Columbia ID in your email; you should also include a list of any classes you are planning to enroll in this summer, if applicable. We also require you to submit your official transcript with spring semester grades as soon as it is available to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, to the attention of Veronica Aguilar Hornig, Senior Assistant Director.

The same financial aid and housing policies as listed on our website are applicable to all admitted students, whenever their decisions are given.
We will notify you of our decision no earlier than June 1 and no later than June 30. If you have any questions feel free to contact us at combinedplan@columbia.edu.

We would like to extend our best wishes and our sincere appreciation for your interest in Columbia University’s

Combined Plan Program.

Accepted!

Would somebody be able to provide the waitlist letter the received with the personal information taken out?

Does anyone have any information on financial aid yet? How do you access it?

Accepted!

@theColorBlue11 I also received the “Committee has voted to postpone your decision” notification. I (thought???) I met all the requirements for guaranteed admission, though I’m still finishing a few required courses this semester. Could this be the reason for my decision?

@LehmansBrother Were you placed on a “wait list” or did you also get the “postponed” email?

This is the exact situation I am in. So this might be why we have to wait longer. If you figure out if there’s a difference between being postponed and waitlisted please let me know
