For the colleges I listed, it asked if I wanted to include an Art Supplement for the admission process. I'm not sure if I should do it, because I already included in my extracurriculars that I did Marching Band, Jazz Band, Orchestra, Steel Drums, etc. Would it still be a good idea to say this again for the Art Supplement or should I not do the Supplement at all since it might be repetitive?

By the way, I don't necessarily plan to join a music program when I go to college. I plan on focusing on a math / science major for now.

Art supplements are a way to show how good you are at music, since just saying that you’re in Orchestra doesn’t give a strong indication of your skill level. If you feel that you can make a good recording, a good supplement, then make a supplement. Otherwise, don’t.

do the supplement. Any bozo cud pick up a flute and march in a band. The supplement shows ur actually good…

I AM planning on being a music major. I will audition at several colleges in January and February. Should I still complete the Arts Supplement even though I’ll be auditioning later?

gallifreygirl, you do not need to submit any supplements for an audition based or audition centric admission process. You DO need to be aware of any prescreening submission requirements which can be institution and instrument specific. I suggest you spend some time here [Music Major - College Confidential](Music Major - College Confidential Forums)

Thanks, violadad! (I like your screen name! :D)
