Common app essay question (not review)

<p>Hello all, I want to try to apply to Yale University but it asks for essay on topic: </p>

<p>"In this essay, please reflect on something you would like us to know about you that we might not learn from the rest of your application, or on something about which you would like to say more. You may write about anything—from personal experiences or interests to intellectual pursuits."</p>

<p>But the Common App essay had the same theme! Can I just copy it to the Yale? Do they want students to write two different essays? Thanks in advance!</p>

<p>definitely 2 essays. The purpose of the supplement is to have the reader know more about you, so duplicate info won’t be useful to the school. Perhaps you can pick a diff common app prompt?</p>
