Hey all,

I have a dilemma. I have written(finally) a very good essay which I really like, but it's 505 words. The question is, should I take out 5 words from the essay or keep it as it is? I tried to find words that I could delete, but all of them were very important to the whole story.

What would you do in a similar situation?

keep it. The common app doesn’t cut you off, and admission officers are not going to sit there and count every single word.

You should be fine. It’s only five words. Just to be sure, you can upload it and preview it to see if it cuts you off.

I agree. It shouldn’t be an issue but you should check that it fits.

I’ve heard that it’s fine as long as it is one-page long.

yeah, I will keep the essay as it is. It just came out so beautifully that I don’t want to cut a single word from it. thanks for your suggestions!
