<p>no less than 250. i'd try not to exceed 1000.</p>
<p>This year there's no formal limit listed, but in years past it's been 500. Shoot for the 400-600 range.</p>
<p>There's no limit, but if you go to a 1000, you'd better start deleting some words. The admissions people don't want to read a novel. They have enough work as it is.</p>
<p>The general average I've heard hovers somewhere around 450-500.</p>
<p>Admissions people are going to hate me, then. Mine was exactly 1111 words. Eleven is my lucky number :)</p>
<p>But yeah, I hear most people stay around 600 or so.</p>
