Common App - Honors

I know this makes me sound dumb, but I basically have no honors. The only ones I’ve really heard of at my school is the Scholastic Competition (which I never entered because I was dumb and confident in my art ability) and NHS (which I thought I did not fit the standards for). Is there any other honors that the average student might have? Does it ruin my chances of getting in anywhere if I have no honors at all?

I have passed the A2 test in German. Does that count as an honor?

If you don’t have honors leave it blank. You certainly won’t be the only one. And yes, you can get into many many colleges with having honors.

I am not familiar with the A2 test so hopefully others with more knowledge will chime in — but offhand it doesn’t sound to me like it goes in the honors section.
