Anyone else have this problem? When I go to the signature page and click on the "Print Preview" by a school, nothing comes up. The page starts loading but a print preview never appears.

I'm using Safari, by the way, and I think this function worked before?

Hey guys. I had this same problem last night when I was trying to submit a supplement. I was using safari and the print preview just wasn’t showing up. Then I opened the common app on my family’s pc using internet explorer and the essay was showed up on the print preview.

I’m using Safari as well. The print preview shows up, but a lot of explanations such as the details about my activities, senior year schedule or siblings get cut off

Do I have to shorten my class titles and activity descriptions, or is the print preview screwing up?

The text-boxes in some places (activity section in particular) will let you type more than will show up on the actual application. Bottom line: Make sure you can see everything completely in preview.

Thanks! Also, I answered the entire future plans section, but when I go to the print preview the entire print preview section is blank. What’s going on?

Future plans print preview is supposed to be blank. It can vary from school to school. Each school will be able to see it but the preview feature doesn’t work.

Taken directly from the Common App Help website:

“If you print preview your application from any page other than the signature page, the Future Plans questions will be blank. When printing from the signature page, only the questions that displayed for that particular school will show on the printed form.”

That is super annoying that the Common App allows you to type more than what will show up on the college applications. Why is that?

I’m sorry, but it seems doubtful to me that an application used for over 400 schools has this big of a problem/inconvenience in it’s system. Now I have to edit the official titles of my senior year courses and the descriptions of my activities all because the commonapp led me to believe I had enough room to type succinct writing, but I guess it has to be even less than succinct now!
