The common app prompt says "Please provide a statement (250 words minimum) that addresses your reasons for transferring and the objectives you hope to achieve" as many of you probably knew already.

And many of you are transferring from four year universities to another four year, but in my case, I'm transferring from a 2 two year community college to a four year college. How should I approach the prompt so that it would make me stand out and make me unique from other applicants also from community colleges?

You could:
-discuss why you chose the cc>>4 year route as opposed to going directly to 4-year. Might have been financial; might have been wanting to get acclimated to college; might have been wanting to improve your academic record; whatever.
-discuss more the particulars of why you want to transfer to the specific school - why it is a match for you and vice versa.
-focus on the last part of the prompt - “the objectives you hope to achieve.”

Well basically the reason I am attending a community college is that I didn’t get into any of the schools I wanted to attend. I don’t know how to express that in a non-negative sounding way or if I should even mention it.

I don’t go to a CC, but I’ve been trying to figure this out myself because you can’t really get into specific reasons why you want to attend each school since the Common app essay will be sent to all of the schools you apply to using the common app (which is all of the schools I’m applying to). I’ve basically determined that you should focus on what you want to study and explain why you’re interested in it. You basically need to explain why you feel the need to continue your education at another institution than where you are currently and you can’t just say it’s because it’s a CC and you think a degree from a 4 year college will look better (well, actually, if you were planning on going to graduate school, that might be something to include).
