The supplement to the common app has a question that says short answer. The question is somewhere along the lines of Why Lehigh? What perspective will you bring to Lehigh? and it says short answer. But they leave enough room to write like an entire single spaced page and say that if you need more room write in the additional information section. Does anyone know if this is really an essay or a short answer and approximately how long should it be.

I was wondering the same thing myself....But I don't really think it's another essay. I'm probably going to write only a short paragraph or two.

Careful... I talked to an admissions person from Lehigh and she said they rejected a kid that had really good stats (like 1580 old SAT or something) because he only wrote 4 sentences for the short answer

That's a stupid reason to reject someone who would have otherwise been a great student.

Yeah.. but if you actually want to go to a school you'll write more than 3 sentences. Lehigh's big on interest and that showed that he had very little, plus with such a high SAT score he was a really good candidate for other schools
