Common App Supplement Question

Hi -

On the college websites which have supplements up (Yale, Harvard, etc.), they specify that if you apply online with the CommonApp, the supplement MUST be done online too. However, I've begun to fill out my online CommonApp and under the "supplement" section, I only see "home school supplement," "early decision agreement", etc. Where are the normal supplements???

same question
what is the whole supplements thing i dont really understand could anyone inform me...thanks

You need to add the respective schools to your My Colleges first. Once you do that, the supplements will appear on the supplements page. But you need to know that not every single supplement will be up right now - it's so early!

Supplements are a way for the college to know more about you. There are often additional short answers and/or essays on the supplements that you need to complete as well. Since the Common App is more limited in its scope, the supplement of each individual school forces the applicant to submit more information about themselves. If your school requires a supplement, you need to complete the supplement AND the Common App in order to be considered as a candidate (also pay the application fee).

These are just a few supplements. The other ones will be available later. Don't worry so much about them now. You still have time to fill in these forms, and you'd better do something else over the sumer, like writing your essays.

Ok. Thanks. I created my entire colleges list....maybe they just haven't gotten the official supplements online yet, though they are available to be printed from the respective websites.
