<p>okay, so this is a question about essay length...
on the common app supplements for Emory and Northwestern on the essay portion both have a box in which you can type your essay [limit 1000 characters] or you have the choice of uploading your essay as a word file. if you upload your essay as a word file, does that mean it can be longer? or does the character limit still apply?</p>
<p>I don't see why the limit would not apply anymore.</p>
