so, im fillin it out, and i get to the ACADEMIC HONORS section, the only things that come to mind are AP Scholar and Salutatorian (totally missed out on that PSAT thing)...no book award...no nothing... what else can i put???? (i cant think of anything 'sides those cheesy school awards for grades) i live in florida.... could i put "FLorida Academic Scholar" (from the bright futures thing).... sigh... can i put leadership positions? anything will do!

hmm... i love the views but no replies.... i just found a letter through my little organizer thingy, and i forgot that i was on the "Part Time Dean's List" at my community college (12 credits, and a certain GPA)... is that an academic honor, or is that the same as like "honor roll" at a high school?

lol, i think your science fair award> my Dean's List thingy.... hey, for teacher recs on the common app, i give it to my teacher, and she fills it out, then copies it, and sends it to all the colleges?? how does that work? the instructions aren't explicit, and im dumb...:(

well at least in our school, the teacher does their rec and they the guidance office gets it and they make all the copies and they mail it out to all the school, but that's at my school and they're really big on sending everything all at once.

List individual academic distinctions, such as National Honor Society, any state scholars recognition, College Board AP Scholar, Science Olympiad or other science awards, Debate or National Forensics League (NFL) national distinction, National French Exam (national ranked scores), music competitions, art competitions, scholarships won, etc.

Usually, it will be an individual honor or one in which you've been an integral member of a small team.

Yes! Dean's list is like the Honor Roll. However, you should indicate how many people receive it to give the reviewer an idea of where you stand, for example, at my school, top 15% are on the dean's list
