Common Application GPA Scale

I am not sure what to put down as my high school's GPA scale. If you have straight A's in my school in non-weighted classes, your GPA will be 4.0. However, with the addition of AP and honors courses, my weighted GPA is 4.38. Should I tell the Common Application that my GPA scale is 4 or 5? Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.

Do the unweighted GPA

Use the same way it is shown on your transcript and mark it as weighted or unweighted accordingly.

If the 4.38 appears on your transcript, it is a weighted GPA and is not based on a 4.0 scale. If you can’t figure this prefer, just leave it blank. It is not a required field.
