Common Application

If you are taking the sat in Oct should you still send in your commonapp now with your old scores?

Do you send in your common app now and then your suplimental apps for the colleges that require them later?

You don’t have to wait for your SAT scores to submit common app or the supplement. You can send your SAT scores later.

Except for a few schools that have a short Part I or preliminary application that you can do online before sending in the complete application through the common app site, for each school you will want to send the completed main application and the supplement at the same time, not at separate times. You can do this at any time, either before you submit your scores or after.

If you have some scores already but you are taking the SAT in October, unless there is a looming deadline you may want to wait until all your test scores are in before deciding which scores to send to each school. It is fine to submit the rest of your application ahead of sending scores.

And you (and should) can invite your counselor and teachers to recommend you now, even if that is before you send scores and before submitting applications.
