<p>I don't think there is any preference. My son applied last year using the Common App., and he was accepted. ~berurah</p>

<p>Duke doesn't officially give preference to either one. The common app saves so much time. I really wish I'd used it for all the schools that took it.</p>

<p>Only one of my colleges accepted (and required) the Common App, which really defeats the purpose, now that I think about it...</p>
