Commonapp has one topic about one person who influence you and how that person influence you, would it be ok if i write that topic on a family member? Or is it not recommended?

It's totally okay to write it about a family member, but that kind of essay is really common. Remember, the essay is supposed to shed some light on who YOU are, not your relatives. If you can write it about a family member AND do that, then go for it.

thx alot..So doesn't it mean that the topic has been come quite cliche and should be avoided? I mean I was just considering that topic out of the 5 commonapp topics coz it seems to be the common questions for different types of application.

common app essays are easy. Basically, they're really generic versions of essays off other applications. one of Stanford's essays is similar to the one you mentioned.

I noticed this, and I'm working on my "real" apps first, and then recycling my essays for the common app
