<p>I think my teacher's recommendation forms and letter address Duke University. But, I am applying to Duke, UPenn, Cornell and about 10 other schools on commonapp. He already submitted the forms to commonapp, so they're sent to all of my chosen schools. Will this be okay?</p>

<p>sorry, um I’d double check to see if it’s not too late to change it. It wouldn’t be as bad as the applicant saying “Harvard” in his Why Yale question, but it’s still far from ideal.</p>
<p>Once your teacher submits it, it cannot be changed. Ask your teacher/counselor to follow up with an additional email to those schools explaining the situation. It is very undesirable for a school to receive a rec addressed to another school! If you can, don’t send that rec to the other schools; but if it is a really good rec, then send it and they will deal with it as best they want.</p>
<p>Yeah, or tell your teacher to call the schools and explain by saying he made a mistake.</p>
