For the SAT score section under academics, do you have to list ALL you sat dates if the school you're applying to allows score choice? Wouldn't that defeat the purpose of score choice? Can somebody point out the source that says whether we have to or not? Thanks!

Look closely at the Common App section: The Common App now (this is different from the rules in 2010 when the original poster started this thread) only wants to see your BEST subscores unofficially self-reported by you, and the date you took the test when you got that great subscore. So, for example, even if you took the SAT 3 times, you’d report JUST the best subscores across all 3 sittings. Your Best CR (and that date), your best math (and that date), your best writing for SATS, and Your best composite, your best English, etc for ACTS.

If you self report a subscore on the Common App, you DO need to send an official set of scores from that sitting, however, directly from the ACT people and the College Board.

The common app now just allows to schools to see the best of you, first! They will verify that you actually got these scores when they receive your official scores.

Hope that helps. Just look at the actual language in the Common App, you’ll see.
