I am an academic degenerate and if this forum were a room I would not be allowed to breathe the same air you people do. Just made the decision to enroll back at university after finishing an AA at community college several years ago. I want to attend in the Fall. It’s a long shot but many schools have rolling admission for transfer students. I am particularly keen on attending UVM. Now if you read their website they list their transfer application deadline as April 15. But under that they note that applications submitted after deadlines will be considered on space available basis. Great. But they use TheCommonApp. And TheCommonApp will not allow you to click the submit button beyond the deadlines posted, which is in fact April 15. So UVM is seemingly advertising something that is impossible to do. And on Monday they (thecommonapp) will be closing their website for an entire week to renovate. My old professor just submitted a letter of recommendation and I need to get this application out. One week is only going to slim my infinitesimal chances even more. What do I do?!?!?!?
Make sure that you indeed cannot send your CommonApp. Refresh the page, click the button, logoff/logon, whatever.
Once you are absolutely sure you cannot submit your application no matter what, proceed to call UVM as soon as possible. You can call Undergraduate Admissions office right now, and the automatic voice operator will most likely tell you the time they open/close.
Once you get a hold of an admissions representative, inquire about your options.
Don’t put yourself down. Whether you’re an “academic degenerate” or an “academic genius”, everybody seeks help all the same.

@TransferStalker CommonApp is explicit in me not being able to send it at this time, unless I wish to apply for another semester. But perhaps I could do that for now so that the application will at least be sent to the school?
I don’t expect admissions to be open until Monday, of course I will try tomorrow though. The issue is that CommonApp will be shutting down their website at 12 am Monday morning for the week.
