Hey my name is ali khan. I will be a senior next year and applying for colleges. I am currently doing the o and a level system in Pakistan . I took the sat and got 750 in math, 670 cr, 550 writing ( messed up one section) . I want to apply to some good universities in America. I was wondering if I should switch over and do the ACT instead of the SAT because then I will escape the dreaded sat subject tests. The subject tests are difficult for me as we haven’t really covered the entire syllabus in our school system which will make it tough for me to take those tests. What do you think I should do? My o level result was amazing, I got straight As and my school transcript is flawless. Not sure if I should redo the sat and take sat 2s or just switch to the act.

I am preparing for the SAT II and will be giving the exam on October 5. I have been referring to Kaplan’s book, but recently I also went through Barron’s books. Barron is far more tough and cover 30-40% more than Kaplan. Should I study Barron or Kaplan is just fine. Subjects are Physics, Chemistry and Maths II.
Thanks

Does anyone know whether you can cancel an SAT II test before receiving the score?

i want to study engineering.I scored high on math in SAT I (780). I won’t be able to take more than one SAT subject. so what shall I take: Math level 2 or physics?

Why can’t you take more than one SAT subject? You can take up to three during an individual session. You can take both Math 2 and Physics the same day. Math 1 is too low a level for a future engineer.

Thanks for the tips; was going to do three SAT Subject Tests instead of two, but found out most colleges accept SAT I OR II, not both.

ACT is completely acceptable, assuming that you can find a way to take it in Pakistan. If you take the ACT, the SAT II tests are generally not required.

Thanks for the tips!

What type of SATII’s do colleges like to see? Assuming 2 SATIIs, 1 math/science, 1 non-math/science?

How many subject tests are we allowed to take during one sitting?

So does everyone go to the testing center, find whatever test they want to take and everyone just take a different test?

And what if I wanted to take like 5 subject tests (just a hypothetical), would I be able to do them all in one day?

Does cornell accept november scores ?

Thank you so much, this answered my questions!! Good luck on June 7th, everyone.

@Helpmeplease19 Hey, you’ll actually need to contact Cornell’s admission office for that, I’m sure you can find their email on their site. Generally for regular decision colleges accept up scores up to (and including) December’s date, with some of them even taking into consideration January. For Early decision/action, however, I think you’ll need to check with the colleges individually.

Does anyone know for the subject tests whether the proctors sperate no. of tests? And when the sat grades the subject test, does the computer just grade the answer sheet with answers? Regardless which test you take. i.e., if you took math and lit?

If I do bad on a test do I have to send it to colleges? Which good colleges (top 25) require all of them?

@CalMartin You have to individually check with each and every college you apply to. For some colleges you don’t necessarily have to send ALL test scores (including the bad ones), but for some you do. You’ll have to see their testing requirements.

can i give SAT (SAT-1 ) and SAT subject test(SAT-2) in the same month November ? Would the Collegeboard consider it ?

In sat 2 world history, it makes sense to attempt all questions in which you can eliminate at least one answer, right?

Hey guys, I hope someone can help me on this. I added a test yesterday (I only payed for one but ended up taking two).
How long will it take to get billed? I really need to send my scores as soon as they’re available but I don’t know if the scores will be delayed if the bill takes long. Also, will I even be billed the extra $16 if I used a fee waiver to pay for the one I DID register for?

Thanks in advance for whoever answers.
