Most of the videos/articles I've seen/read on Middlebury are out of date and complain about how unequal housing is because the system was not yet completed. Is it still incomplete today? Thanks.

It may have been that more new construction was initially planned, but there isn’t anything incomplete about the commons system that I know of. Ross Commons has more new buildings and has covered walkways to dining, but Battell (which belongs to Cook and one other commons) is supposed to be the most fun freshman dorm even though the rooms are the worst. So they vary, but it doesn’t seem especially imbalanced. One great thing about the commons system is that every freshman in your commons will be in one of 4 or 5 freshman seminars, so you can theoretically discuss the class with people in the dorm and bond even more with freshmen in the commons.
