Any current Midd students or other anxious incoming freshman have any insight to picking commons? I want to be in Atwater so badly, but blindly getting placed in a dorm based on the FYSE really scares me. Does anyone know if Midd has patterns to placing students in commons?
It’s random… FY seminar classes associated with a commons one year probably won’t be associated with the same commons another year. There are pros and cons to all of the commons! My daughter also survived Battell
It’s cinderblock construction, small rooms, not many bathrooms-my son used to shower in the athletic center. However, after that, he lived in proverbial “dorms like palaces”. My older son felt like(as he went down the corridors in his jammies to breakfast) “I’m living in a luxury hotel.” He was the Feb, they get better housing because they are in rooms vacated by upperclassmen.
