I was wondering if it was at all possible to get housing in the Commonwealth residential hall if I wasn't in Honors. what if my roommate is in honors and I am not, could we get housing in Commonwealth since he is in Honors? Thanks!

No, you cannot get housing in the CHCRC if you are not in the honors college. With that being said, several people on my floor this year transferred into the hall at random points during the year. A couple are not a part of the honors college. They got the luck of the draw with room re-assignments (they all had roommate or other issues in their old dorm), but you cannot get in under normal circumstances and honors students can not pull up non-honors students.

Yes, as they said above it isn’t allowed. This being said a 3.5+ GPA in college gives you a chance of switching into the commonwealth college. Also, I would say try to get into the Northeast dorms as they are traditional ivy league style dorms and are amongst the oldest. (So they look cool + they are renovated) Also, the North Residential apartments are great + IMO somewhat better than the Commonwealth dorms as as long as you are a junior or senior.
