hey guys,
I want to apply for the Annenberg School of Communication, but I know it's competitive. Does anyone have any advice for what a high school senior should do to up chances of admissions? Also, is it smarter to apply "undeclared," or should I just mark my major as "communications?"

thanks, fight on!

Show evidence all throughout your application in how you have already recognized your passion for communications and what you have done for it. For example, maybe for com. serv. you worked at a radio station, or you did debate, or you are in charge of journalism at your school. Express your interest in the subject and show your early success within it. You can do this in your essay and other components to the application.

thanks sirwatson!
I'm worried though, because I only recently realized my passion for communications; hence, I'll graduate with only 2 years of journalism (although my 1st year on the paper I became editor), where one semester was the Journalism 1 class and the second year will be my only year on the paper. Thank goodness I've been in the Model United Nations club for all 4 years; unfortunately I never ran for any positions because I was too busy. Do you think holding positions in my volunteer club (KIWIN'S) for 2 years (Rec. Sec and President) will somehow show my passion for communications...I mean, I know it shows leadership, but communications?

thanks again!!
