Communication with incoming Class of 2019

Obviously a lot of very unnerving activity in Baltimore over the last 24-48 hours. It is my sincere hope that this senselessness ends immediately without further injury or destruction of property.

I have seen the notices posted on the JHU website relative to the situation, and I am sure the administration and security team are doing everything they can to ensure the safety of everyone affiliated with Johns Hopkins. Perhaps there isn’t time right now, but hopefully fairly soon the University will reach out specifically to those who have committed to the class of 2019. I am sure some students and their familes may be having second thoughts (right or wrong) and it would seem prudent to make an attempt to reassure those folks that sending their children to JHU is not putting them in danger.

The very unfortunate situation in Baltimore could happen anywhere. Our family is not wavering. But it may be prudent for the University to make a special effort to reach out to the incoming class.

if you have not made a deposit , I would look to plan B . it could be a very long dangerous four years of college.

^disagree, but then again what do you know? howdoipayforthis, your son/daughter will have a blast. I loved my time there, bmore will be fine.

Baltimore has a lot to offer. Considering current events this could and probably will happen in other cities within the next year. Tensions are running high all around this country.
