Community Bath

Can someone tel me how the community bath system works? How clean is it? Are there separate stalls for showers and toilets? Is it better than a private bath where you not only need to pay $250 more per semester but also need to buy your own supplies?

Thnks in advance.

check out the "college life" forum, they have a few discussions about community baths in different schools, and I don't see how it could be extremely different from the ones mentioned.

from what I've read, community baths are cleaned by housing maintenance, the shower stalls and toilet stalls are seperate(how can dozens of students go potty if someone's in the shower? lol), it is advisable to wear flip-flops in the shower, if you're very conscious about cleanliness and germs, get one of those anti-bacteria whatever sprays.

Anyway, IMO, community bathrooms aren't so bad. Someone cleans them for you, you don't have to go out and get supplies (that's an uh-oh when you really need something), no dividing money over supplies, or fights about who has to clean the toilet :D
But you get the nice privacy.

Sure, community bathrooms will suck sometimes, especially in the morning when EVERYONE wants to use the shower before class...

but we will never know what it's like until we get there:)!

Generally speaking, (in UT) how many people share a community bathroom?

6?

prolly more i believe there are either 2 or 4 bathrooms per floor in jester...not sure how many there are per floor
