I’m going planning to go to RVCC to get my associate’s degree in nursing, then transfer to a 4-year BSN program (which I will be a junior when I transfer). I want to transfer to UPENN to get my bachelor’s degree. I do have other options closer to me for when I want to transfer like Rutgers, Kean, or TCNJ. It’ll probably be less money. but is an Ivy League worth it if I want a good education for nursing?
For nursing, not really. Having family that lead medical programs at Universities, I can for sure tell you that attending Rutgers, or even for profit nursing schools, do not change your employment outcomes if your goal is to be a RN, Specialized Nurse or whatever else. Attend the cheapest school, and you will be just fine.
