Community College COMMUNITY SERVICE?

So im applying to enter usc in the fall of 2007 and now, in my 1st semester of college i would like to add some ec's and community service stuff down....

this is the only thing i got...(in college)

film/tv club
philosophy club
photography club
model un club

volunteer adult literacy at local library
habitat for humanity

id like to do some more in the community service. tips? ideas?

i want them to say..."wow!"

:-)

Thanks!

quality over quantity.
Stick to one (or two, if you're dying to do more) and do it for long time and show them the progress you've made.

community service is overrated :P

none of the typical community service paths intersted me, so i became a volunteer math tutor. maybe you should look into tutoring on campus for free. dhl3 is right - do something you like and stick with it. nobody cares if you can fill up your EC sheet with a bunch of clubs, and you'll find that you won't want to list all of those clubs anyways. it's better to have some clubs, maybe community service, and just list things that you enjoy doing (sports, music, etc.)
