Community College Credit

If you take a college course during high school at a community college, can it transfer over to USC and cover some requirements and give you credit?

thank you

I just started to look in to this. Here's a link to some info (look at #6):
http://www.usc.edu/dept/ARR/transferringcoursework/faq.html#summercourses?

You have to look at the community college articulation agreement with USC to see if the class you take is on the list. You can find the articulation agreements here:
http://www.usc.edu/dept/ARR/articulation/

If you take a class DURING hs you can get credit but it won't fulfill GE's but if you take a class after you graduate but before you start USC then those could count for GE's depending on the course.

if i'm planning to transfer from a uc..can i take calculus at a cc the summer before my freshmen year begins to fulfill the marshall req.?

my guess is as long as there's an articulation agreement with usc with that CC, it would work, but you should double check with an admissions counselor at usc first.
