Community College Transfer Chances

Hey everybody -

Right now, I'm at Washtenaw Community College in Ann Arbor, MI. I'm taking 22 credits this semester, another 15 in the summer, and finally another 22 in the fall, giving me a total of 59 to transfer into a 4-year university in the spring. My high school GPA is a 3.5 and my ACT is a 33.

My main target school is University of Michigan. The M-POD (Michigan transfer program at WCC) coordinator and I have planned out my courses so that I will completely fulfill UofM's area distribution requirements for LSA, and I'll satisfy the writing, language, and any other requirements as well. Every one of my credits is going to transfer over, as a course for course equivalent, as opposed to departmental credits.

Right now, the only class that it looks like I may not get an A in is Economics, but that'll be an A- at worst. Everything else will be A's and I'm going to step it up over the next couple of months to maintain a 3.9whatever.

I'm looking to transfer in as a Mathematics/Econ double major. Would the A- this semester in Intro to Economics hurt me if I got an A in Econ II? Also, I'll have completed Calc I, II, and III, and Differential Equations by the time I transfer.

Please let me know what you think. Any other suggestions for realistic schools to transfer to (w/ spring admissions for transfers) would be very much appreciated. All I've been able to find is MIT so far that has spring admissions and thats probably a little unrealistic...
