community essay

I was wondering how much the community essay is supposed to be about me contributing to Penn? And how much about "in whats ways Penn interests me"? half-half? I can hardly think of much things to say besides I'd add to the diversity, etc, etc...

bump <10 char>

talk about what clubs/organizations you want to join. I think it’s a bit of both, but I’d go with more than a 50/50 ratio since the question specifically asks how you would contribute.

anyone else…?

bump…
I’m really clueless as to what sort of things they expect me to contribute… I’d be active, try to participate in clubs, speak up in class, etc, etc. What else are they looking for? those things seem rather trite.

somebody must have something to say…

bump…bump…bump…bump…

There are many ways to answer this question… I chose to include two clubs which i wanted to join, one was acedemic and the other wasnt. The non acedemic one was something like a a cultural club. I talked about how I would help the club itself and other students in penn to understand more about my culture and all that, and then for the the non acedemic one i talked about my passion for international relations and it related to MUN etc etc… My essay was under a page, and about a para for each club :p
