<p>I currently have around 100 hours from volunteering as a tennis camp counselor from last summer, and I have a few more from tutoring and food drives and stuff. This summer I am volunteering at a state veterans home, I am a rising junior.</p>
<p>How big of a role does your service hours play on college admission? About how many hours looks good enough to get into some of the good colleges (some of the colleges I want to attend are Duke, UPenn, WashU) and what places are the best to volunteer at?</p>
<p>EDIT: I also submitted an application to my local hospital and I am waiting for a reply.</p>
