Hello everyone I'm just wondering exactly how important community service is when applying. I really want to get into Uni. of Michigan Ann Arbor, and everytime I google this question it seems like ECs are always more important than actual grades.

Grades are always the most important. But a lot of people have good grades, that is when ECs become important because they set people apart/show that people do more then hide in their rooms and study. I can’t speak to the specific school, but if you have no community service I recommend becoming involved.

UMich REALLY cares about GPA, so if you have a 3.9+ and a 2100+ SAT score, you should be in.
