community showers in markley hall?

Hi I was wondering if markley hall had community showers or individual stalls?

What would u guys say is the condition of these bathrooms as well?

The bathrooms are community, just meaning that an entire hall shares it. But the showers themselves are individual stalls. There’s a curtain, and then a space to put your clothes and shower caddie, another curtain, and then the actual shower.

No place has “community” showers like one big shower room with multiple shower heads and no privacy. Dorms have one large bathroom suite with private showers, private toilets, and a central room with a bunch of sinks. No privacy when using the sink.

I think some units in Markley may have their own showers (not the normal doubles).

There are men’s and women’s bathrooms in Markley and the ones I’ve been in all had private toilets and showers. The showers all had a curtain on the outside and a little cubby for changing and leaving your shower stuff, and then another curtain that closed off the shower. The bathrooms are definitely pretty old compared to some of the other ones on campus, but University Housing has staff that goes above and beyond to keep them clean (usually cleaned 2x/day). I never once felt grossed out in there, they’re almost always sparkling clean.

Only the gyms have community showers. Many people work out before class and shower there.

Tell that to the 4,000 cadets at West Point. Took some getting used to for our son, but I know you meant Michigan. Carry on.

@ChoatieMom Yes, I meant at Michigan.
