I saw some stats that said over 60% of the students live off-campus at Miami. That is a truly alarming number to me. I know that most freshmen live on campus, but what about after that? Do most students live in apartments?
Lot of Sophomore. juniors and even Seniors live on Campus, some of them do move to Village which are better apartments just a block away from School, village is School Off Campus housing. You need to be a Junior to get into village. Now for Local Students from Coral Gables and nearby they might opt to live off campus for various reasons…
It is not even close to a commuter school. 2/3 of the campus don’t even live in Florida, thus the opposite of a commuter school. It is a tough drive even from Miami, so many local students even live on campus. On campus housing is a bit tight, therefore many prefer to find roommates and rent apartments/houses.
