Hey everyone! I was recently notified of my acceptance to DU and could not be more excited! I will most likely be commuting to campus and was wondering what the experience has been like for past/current students who did not live on campus. I've heard mixed opinions, but most people say if I become involved with campus activities and/or employment, I will not miss out on the "college experience" as much.

I’m not a commuter, but I know a few who do. Obviously, commuting will take some of the experience away since most others are living on campus and together. Typically club meetings and events (especially if you decide to do greek life) are at night, so it can be challenging to stay involved if you have classes in the morning and afternoon and don’t want to stay on campus all day long. But, if you are motivated to participate, you shouldn’t have much of a problem. I’m pretty sure there is some form of commuter alliance/club also.

Congrats on your acceptance! Go Pios!
