Commuting issues

I decided to commute after my parents told me they would pay for my entire tuition which is about 30k a year. Crazy I know. However Im now in reality that I will be commuting 45 mins daily morning and noon... And it sucks to say but the reason I even said yes is because my parents make too much money to qualify for ANY aid... As well as the fact that over 60% of my uni is non commuter it's just gonna be hard. I guess I just want reassurance that I'm doing the right thing and that I'm not going to die. Any commuters out there that want to help? Any thing is welcome.

45 minutes is not bad. One summer for an internship I commuted 40 min there and back. I kind of enjoyed it. I can listen to my iPod on the way there and the whole ride was a way to relax for me before starting work and on the way back it was a way to unwind after a long day. I also listened to audio books and other stuff. Right now with this job lined up after I graduate, I would have to commute about an hour and a half to work every morning and night unless I find an apartment in the city. So be glad you don’t have to do that.
