Comp Sci chances at the usual suspects: UT-Austin, CMU, Illinios, GA Tech, Cal Tech...

So, my son's school requires students to apply to 10 schools. He knows he wants to major in computer science with an emphasis on programming languages and software development (not engineering!). I know the big name schools are a bit of a crap shoot but I thought I'd throw his creds out there and see what you guys think:

Schools he's considering: UT Austin (in state, auto admission but not necessarily into Comp Sci program), CMU, U of Illinois, GA Tech, Cal Tech, UC Berkeley, Rice, Rensselaer, U of Washington, and maybe Stanford

As of the end of junior year:
UW GPA 3.91 (due to a B in a dual credit class he took in 8th grade but still counts)
W GPA: 4.26
Class rank: 3/122 (very competitive school)

SAT 2290 (math 710, cr 800, wr 780 - he wants to retake to raise the math score)
SAT Math II: 800
SAT Physics: 800

AP tests:
Comp Sci: 5
Physics: 5
Calculus AB: 5
Statistics: 4
US Hist:4
World Hist: 4

Attended CMU's pre-college program this past summer and received a B in Imperative Programming
Has 25+ credits through dual credit classes taken before and during high school. He was homeschooled for a few years and took classes at the community college (Astronomy, Chemistry, and three semesters of Java programming).

ECs: Debate club, 2 years
Computer club, 4 years
Robotics club, 1 year (new this year)
Key Club 2 years
College Leadership/Readiness Club - 3 years, elected Secretary

Volunteered at a Wildlife Rehabiliation Center as a wild bird rehabilitator

letters of recommendation from Calculus teacher and professor from CMU

Senior year course load: AP Gov't, Dual Credit Econ, AP Calc BC, AP Physics C, Spanish III, Robotics Design and Engineering, English IV

So.....are colleges going to take him seriously or think of him as some over achiever? He's just a super bright kid who loves computers and school in general.

Thoughts?? Thanks in advance...
