Comp. Sci. & Eng. vs Comp Sci. and double question

Hi, I just was admitted to Davis for Comp Sci and Engineering, but I’m wondering what the difference is between CS&E, which is in the school of engineering I believe, and CS, which is in L&S.

Here is the major requirements for CS&E:
[UC Davis General Catalog | Computer Science and Engineering Requirements](http://registrar.ucdavis.edu/UCDWebCatalog/programs/ECS/ECSreqt.html)
and here for CS:
[UC Davis General Catalog | Computer Science Requirements](http://registrar.ucdavis.edu/UCDWebCatalog/programs/compsci/compscireqt.html)

What distinguishes the two majors from each other? Any insights?
One thing I did notice was the massive difference in required units, with CS&E being about 180 and CS around 100, which brings me to my second question.

I was toying with the idea of double majoring in CS&E/CS (which ever one I choose when I learn more) and Mathematics.

major requirements here, note that I would be interested in the AB or BS for plain, general mathematics:
[UC Davis General Catalog | Mathematics Requirements](http://registrar.ucdavis.edu/UCDWebCatalog/Programs/MAT/MATreqt.html)

Given that they both require around 80 units…
A) is that possible to double in both since they require a lot of units?
B) if is is at all possible, would it be advisable or even sane to try?
C) which major, out of CS&E/CS, would work better?
D) which degree, out of AB/BS for mathematics, would work better?

Some of the units likely overlap, but I don’t know exactly how many for all the different combinations, PLUS, there is probably a unit limit somewhere along the line and I don’t want to be going to college for 7 years. Thoughts?

Anyone who takes the time to answer my… numerous questions will for ever have my thanks.

shameless shameless self-bump
