Comparative Lit. or English Major - UCLA, USC, etc.

Hi, I am applying to transfer for next fall to UCLA and USC. I am deciding between Comp. Lit. or English majors. I aim to continue working in the film industry as a Cinematographer with interest as a screenwriter. As well as a creative/indie/portrait photographer. I would major in photography or film production, but I have a greater interest in the broad study of Liberal Arts and I want a degree that incorporates philosophy, psych, sociology, creative arts, language, etc. (However, I will be minoring in film studies.) Overall, I want to further my education on all that comes with Liberal Arts and put that into my work as an indie filmmaker.
In the English major, I am interested in the creative writing concentration and being able to become a better reader and writer. As for the Comp. Lit. major I am intermediately fluent in Spanish, I come from a Hispanic household and I would like to dive into that more as well as study French (a small percentage of my background too)
Simply put, I am unsure of which will be more applicable for me as both are pretty similar majors. Can anyone give me advice on what to do? Feel free to ask me questions too! THANK YOU!!!

Take a look at the degree requirements for each major at each university and choose whichever one includes courses of greater interest to you.
