Comparing University At Buffalo and Iowa State University Computational Biology Program

I just got accepted to UB and Iowa State University as a transfer student to study computation biology. I know both Universities to be large public universities. I’m from New York, but spent almost almost my entire life overseas until I came back for college two years ago. I like both schools, but I’m a bit undecided which to attend.
I would be happy to hear from current or former students - or anyone, for that matter who knows anything about UB or ISU. I would like to know about the academic atmosphere of each school. Is it collaborative or cutthroat competitive? I for one prefer collaborative class considering that English is not my first language. I would be glad if you guys would help me make my choice.
Which school has a stronger program in Computational Biology? Thanks for your help.

Which one is more affordable to you? They are both similar in terms of reputation and resources. I would choose whichever will put you in less debt, if money is an issue.

I think you made a good point. Among others, cost of attendance certainly will play a major factor my decisions. I hope someone here also tells me about the academics atmosphere of UB and ISU. I would like to attend the one with a collaborative learning environment.
I sincerely appreciated your advice.
