What is the difference between the social atmosphere between Wellesley and BC besides the important fact that Wellesley is an all woman's school. Is it true that Wellesley is much more multicultural (diverse) than BC? Are a majority of the student population at BC and Wellesley from rich, white suburbs? I'd appreciate your input. Thanks~

sry about the spelling error of "Wellesley"

soo.. you got waitlisted?

but yes, i do believe wellesley's more diverse in terms of multiculturalism. however, i doubt that either bc or wellesley's student population primarily comes from "white, rich suburbs".

I don't know anything about BC so I can't really help you there.. there are some statistics (diversity-wise) on the Admissions website here: http://www.wellesley.edu/Admission/admission/statistics.html

Wellesley is about 40% "ethnically diverse" according to Admissions stats. I've seen somewhere that it's one of the most diverse schools... of its size? Or something?

There are people here from "white, rich suburbs" but they're definitely not a majority.

BC is a Catholic college, and a very large percentage of the school is Catholic. In that sense, it's probably not as culturally/religiously/ethnically diverse as Wellesley.
