I'm really conflicted as to which school to choose. How does the social scene work without guys, is it a hassle to travel to other schools??? PlZ help, honesty appreciated.

Do you consider it a hassle to take a 1/2 to 1 hour shuttle bus ride?

lolcatz,

Wellesley cannot be any more different than BC. Really.

BC: Almost 15,000 students total. A Division 1 school with a HUGE sports culture, which means there’s a very big drinking presence. Many students live off campus in the city.

Wellesley: ~2,300 students total. A Division 3 school with a smaller sports culture on campus. Drinking is not as a major part of the social scene. Most students live in oncampus housing for all 4 years.

BC is very much of the “traditional” college social life - what you see in movies and tv shows. I’m not saying that everyone at BC is a huge party animal, but it’s much more a part of that school’s culture. Wellesley is most definitely not.

You have to decide what kind of college experience you’d like. Wellesley students have as much of a social life as they’d like - on campus or off, with guys or not. But it more about making it happen for yourself, as opposed to doing things or going to parties because “everyone else is going.”

lolcatz - your past posts suggests strongly that you have been copying others’ essays, or, at the very least, are not an honest or trustworthy student to have around. You also sound like one of the materialistic barbies who care too much about the social scene in high school and probably won’t change your ways in college.

I would hate to have you as a classmate. JS.

woah Algorithms, chillll~ No need to do personal attacks here.
What’s wrong with asking others to proof read your essay? And don’t make generalized judgement based on one question.

If you read through OP’s history, you’ll see that each of them was her asking to “proof read” another’s essay. It’s intuition and seeing through the patterns.

True, I probably shouldn’t have based the post on one question, but adding in the OP’s past to the mix, I get a foul feeling about the person.

I’m going to have to agree with SinFused here. Honestly, this person probably just likes reading essays. What’s the big deal? And really, people should take some personal responsibility and be more careful about getting random people on the internet to proofread in the first place, if it’s such a problem. But to me it looks like you are making snap judgements based on literally nothing. I’d also just like to say that there’s absolutely nothing wrong with being concerned about what your social life is going to be like in college. It doesn’t make you materialistic or vapid. People are people and people like to relax and have some fun sometimes. So maybe you should do that too.
