<p>Hello! I haven't posted here in a while.
I need to convince my parents that the education system in the US (or anywhere outside India) is better than the system in India.
Could anyone give link to web pages or posts where a detailed, logical comparison is made between the two systems? Or one that criticises the IITs?</p>
<p>I've tried Googling, but none seem to fit.</p>

<p>You'll probably be richer graduating from a decent school here than there. No proof, just my anecdotal guess though.</p>

<p>Read Tagore, Dewey and the Imminent Demise of Liberal Education. It's written by a famous U of C prof.</p>
<p>(btw, one of my suitemates here at Cornell is an engineering student from India and stuanchly thinks the education here, which involves application, analysis and synthesis, and liberal breadth is much better than the archaic rote-system.)</p>
