if the curve is generous that could very well be around 750

what was the answer to the polymer question- that was extremely dumb/vague. I put proteins but can't also be lipids (triglycerides have three repeating fatty acids).

like I said before, the curve will most likely not be generous, this is a guess, however.

yeah considering that the Oct SAT bio had a ginormous curve, we will probably get a fairly harsh curve.

exactamundo.

do you think even in case of a harsh curve, it'll be over 700?

i think the curve will be similar to the sparknotes curve.

i concurr.

errrgh, lol

Hmm does anyone remember the wording for the very last question on the biology M test?

For me, at least, it had to do with the dialysis bag with the sugar and whatnot...and it had a roman numeral thing going on with I, II, III.

I might be wrong but I put all 3: 1,2 and 3. One thing is for sure (and a lot of people will dispute this) but the first part (net movement of water) HAS TO be true because if you read the entire experiment, it says that the bag got BIGGER.

The only thing is, I'm not sure about the last 2. I think that they all should be true though; I actually did the experiment, and diffusion had stopped after 24 hours. Not to meniotn that if diffusion stopped, they would have to be isotonic.

So I think it is all 3.

And for the frog/snake question, I still think that it is lungs because I think I remember it saying what organ do frogs have that contribute to breathing that snakes do not hae or something...anyway, it said what snakes DO NOT have, and snakes DO NOT have lungs. I could be wrong though.

Hope this helps.

Snakes do have lungs. Darn it!

"snakes DO NOT have lungs"

....I never said that, it was my evil twin...Sman3008.

Honestly, I don't know anymore. So frogs and snakes both have lungs? I guess that means the answer is skin. I'll check my mammoth-like Barron's book later today...damn snakes.

I was debating on skin and lungs too, for like...20 minutes. In the end it seems that I got it wrong... pathetic.

the answer was skin, case closed, hands down, period, etc....any other problems? I'm a genius, so I can help. Just kidding. but yeah, im pretty sure it was skin. im scared.

haha i ran out of time on the dialysis bag one..i wish i had read it more carefully because I remember only answering with I (A. Only I.)
oops...

re: sugar solubility

osmosis doesnt have to do anything about how soluble sugar is. lipids/fats/anything else couldn't pass through the semi-permeable membrane because they were too big. it was the answer that it was too big.

re: parasite: plant that depletes other plant of nutrients

was anything said about this? isnt this an example of predation?

btw..the matching portion in the beginning..could the same letter be used more than once?

....yes, you can use a letter more than once. In this case, it was parasitism twice (including this plant one, forgot the first one.)

So the plant getting nutrients from the other plant = parasitism.

hm.. so the attacked plant would be a host? and the albino plant would be a parasite?

strange :(
