Compiliation Of Biology Sat Ii Answers

^^^ those questions were pretty weird...

you know for the chitin question, did the question include the word (term w/e) "cell wall"? I put animals immediately after thinking of lobsters and ants :(.

Does anyone know the answer to the last question with the dialysis bag?
I put E (I, II, and III)

Also there was a question in the core about trophic levels. I thought there were two possible answers:
energy decreases in each trophic level
Herbivores get more energy from their food than carnivores (I picked this one)

Anyone know the answers?

caesar_rexus
I think the question did have the words cell wall made of chitin. So the answer was mushroom (animal cells don't have cell walls)

what's a bacillus?

a rod-shaped bacteria, read kaplans.

Interesting question: My November test was postponed for 2 weeks so I'll be taking bio on the 19th. That test is going to be differrent from the Nov 5th test, right?

Yeah, the test will be different, otherwise it would be so easy to cheat

hmm..so did we agree on how harsh the scale would be? how many can we miss to still get 800?

I think probably around 3

How many to miss to get 700? And i don't know why you guys think this curve will drastically different from Octobers. It probably won't be as nice, but i don't think it should be horrible.

i don't know for 700 maybe 12? i just thought this test wasn't that hard, so there probably won't be a good curve.

is the curve determined by how well students do nationally?

On collegeboard's website, it says that the score is an indicator of performance of an individual and not affected by how the others do. But naturally, they'll done a lot of research.

Can someone please answer the question with the dialysis bag (where you had to choose I II and/or III)

My test seemed totally different from the ones that everyone on CC had. I had few questions that were the same, but most were different. I had a question on the test about which cells don't undergo any further mitotic division. I narrowed it down to nerve cells and hair follicle cells. Does anyone know which it would be? I put nerve cells.

I think you're right, nerve cells don't divide

That's right. Neurons grow more.

for the M sections there was a question that was like "what is unique about this cancer virus" and the two choices I narrowed it down to were:1. It infects already cancerous cells (or soemthing like that)
2. It makew the cell theat it infects cancerous.
Which did u say?
I said the second one becasue the cells arent cancerous before they are infected, but then again in the second one the cell that it infects isnt cancerous, i think, its the cells that are made from it.

bump............................

shermie: yea i got that too

omg scores on monday o.O
