Complain About Your Horrible Teachers Here

My AP Euro teacher:

"Who'se Martin Luther? Oh that black civil rights movement guy?"

^ you have GOT to be joking!!! haha that's hilarious

APEL: chokes on her own emotion when you mention one of her favorite authors. everybody get Fs on their papers. and she put in my grade as a D on my paper when i got an A. can't spell. for. her. life. she wrote "wit" as "witt" adn when i told her, she said, " it's spelled with only one 't' ? Really?"

some people should NOT be english teachers if they can't spell !!

AP Lit - Great, even though i suck at english hopefully ill pull a 3 on the test?
Ap Bio - Complete noob, she teaches straight out the book. Class doesnt even deserve to be called AP.
AP USH - Good teacher, hate his style of teaching, unless i bury myself in that amsco book ill probably get a 1 on the ap

AP World History - He lectures about stuff other than world history. Everyone in my class had to learn by the book and when AP exams came around, only two people passed with a 3. How sad. =[

AP Physics - Basically, my friends and I learn by ourselves.

Last year, my english teacher was known among the students as "Skeletor." You can imagine how much that class sucked >_<

AP Chemistry: By far one of the weirdest/worst teachers I've ever had. Last Wednesday, during his lecture, he realized that not a lot of people were listening to him, so instead of scolding us, he gave up and randomly brought out a model train set and started playing with it. WHO THE HECK DOES THAT?!

Have you guys noticed that so far all the chem teachers described so far are either old, insane, or just bad? :P

AP ENGLISH LIT: OH MY GOD alright let me just start off by saying that I like my English teacher as a person I think she has a great personality but her assignments and the way she grades things is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. For example, we had to write a critical essay review and I got a 93 on the paper but the teacher took off 10 POINTS because my rough draft that I submitted only had "8 corrections" (for each paper we do we have to submit a rough draft with at least 10 corrections) well I knew I had 10 corrections so I asked her about it and she said that 2 of my corrections were not "good" corrections just grammar ones. THEN she takes off another 2.5 points because I double spaced the heading! So I end up with an 80.5 on the paper when there was NOTHING WRONG WITH THE CONTENT OF THE PAPER!

Another example, we had to write an outline (min. page + 1/2) for an 1000 word paper (we didn't have to write the paper just practice doing an outline)
and she wanted all of our statements to be in "noun phrases" so she spends about 5 mins reviewing what noun phrases are and none of us in the class remember what a noun phrase is so were completely lost so we do the outline to the best of our abilities and I end up getting a 74 on the outline because I used "no noun phrases". Well everyone in the class ended up receiving a grade like mine so she let us redo them and if we did them correctly we would earn 10 extra points. So I redo mine and I put everything into noun phrases and I even go and check with another English teacher and ask her if I'm doing the noun phrases right and she says yes. So then I check my grade today and next to my 74 it says "insufficient corrections to warrant grade change" ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?! My noun phrases were fine, I corrected everything else she marked wrong (I accidentally used bold font, my theme needed to be more general, my thesis needed rewording) and she doesn't even give me extra points for changing the things besides the noun phrases. But I guess apparently no one got any extra points for their corrections so now we are all extremely ****ed off

Sorry that was really long I'm just SO FRUSTRATED!!!! I'm seriously considering dropping this class next semester...I dont care what colleges think lol

AP Calc: Basically she outright tells us who the best students in the class are. Mentioning them by NAME and makes the rest of us feel like idiots. She enters assignments/tests at her own convenience. For example, we did this 30 point quiz that I did very well on, and she gives us grade reports the day AFTER quarter grades were due. I go up to her and ask why the test wasn't entered and she says "Oh, I forgot" and when I politely asked if she would enter it she cut me off with a nasty "No." AHHH! Hag! If she had entered that quiz, it would've brought my grade up a whole letter grade. I. Hate. Her.

Oh, and on my report card she wrote "Needs to prepare for tests"

Uh, SHE needs to ENTER the tests she gives us! Ahhhhh!

i had a horrible spanish teacher last year.. but we pretty much made her life MISERABLE.. seriously i'm not even kidding.. our class was pretty outta control.. haha she eventually quit like 3/4 into the year.. but a couple weeks before she left, she made a substitute be in the class with her because she was afraid we were going to attack her .. someone even got her home phone number and called her like 80 times in one day.. and then the police got involved and whatever.. it was pretty messy.. lol but yeah we're really not troubled kids or anything.. she was just so horrible, we kind've forced her to quit.. and one day our whole class walked out to go to the principals to talk about her..oh, and haha we always had one kid who would hold up signs to tell us what to do .. it would be like clap, cluckk, or yell skillet.. and the whole class would... haha oh man, i really miss that class. haha she was a horrible teacher, but I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THAT CLASS!! it's my favorite class i've everrr had because it was sooo entertaining and funnny

Band- Greatest guy in the world, though a lot of people talk baldly about him. When his wife comes to help him...eh....she's kinda annying...
Geometry Honors- When have you heard a coach teaching math? He braged about his masters in math and now he can't even teach....blah. Good guy though.
Spanish- Haha my mom. I have to take the class or the test. But the tests are usually really really hard. College level hard so I'd rather make 100(+10) on all 3 and boost my GPA.
Bio- Man, I wish this class were AP, maybe we wouldn't have as many retards...Regardless, we need another teacher. She has to many personal problems to be worrying about our education!
Office Aide- Nuff said....haha need to find something to do during this period.

I feel so bad for you guys who have bad English teachers, because the class is subjective enough that you can never PROVE anything about the grading!

^^ Which is why I'm ever-grateful for my awesome English teacher =)

I don't really belong in this thread, however, because I can't really complain about any of my teachers as none of them are horrible (I go to a private school with non-unionized teachers, if that makes a difference...horrible ones get fired).

So I'm leaving now.

Dude, proletariat2, who do you have for Spanish 3? I have the hardest freaking teacher at the park!

Anatomy/Physiology: PE teacher who took kinesiology in college. Tonight's homework included no effort on his part, he copied a website on word, the overwrote some parts with blanks. Gave his class the packet and the website and said, "fill in the blanks." He's soooo lazy!

APUSH: Doesn't know the subject. Spends the entire class period lecturing and watching to make sure I'm nodding my head. If I shake my head, he knows his facts are wrong and he better find the right answer-somewhere. But don't ever point out an honest mistake!

Drama: We all love my drama teacher, he's been teaching 50 years! He's 78 and a little senile.

Spanish: She thinks everyone learns with flashcards!

AP English: VERY disorganized, has lost an essay and a test of mine already, not to mention the little stuff!

Trig/Pre-Cal.: Great teacher, very high energy. Unfortutely, she has never had a Trig class before.

Ah damn. I'm not particularly bad at English but I've never received an A because of a succession of bad teachers...

precal- write all the trig functions on the board, doesn't teach us how to use them, and then assigns the questions in the book asking to explain electrical theory.
...wth?
and her tests are impossible.
luckily, she assigns so much homework (REALLY HARD homework), that if you do it all, you can get a D on every test and get an A in the course.
however, it's literally 4+ hours of homework a night, every night.
i can't wait until calculus next semester. it's really much easier than precal at my school.

chemistry- i've never had a chem class before (this is a college chem class), and he teaches as though everybody has already had this course. he never really tells you how to do something, but instead gives a whole lot of examples.
he's not the worst teacher in the world, but he goes really fast. maybe this should go in the distasteful teachers thread.

AP Euro - interesting but disorganized teacher, stuffed our essays in a box of a thousand papers and forgot them, graded tests at convenience, and had three grades all quarter - got a five on the test, though

Spanish - Dreadful. Dragged me out into the hall once for failing to turn in all assignments day before due for EC and spoke to EC coach for my failure to turn in all assignments ( with a 99% in the class). Gives out tardies for being in class before bell rings but not at the exact moment the bell rings.

Chorus - No control over class. Once, when we didn't sing, stalked out of the classroom 10 minutes early and told us abruptly to leave. Reading assignment is to read a joke.

Physics - the whole class comprised of a ten minute example that no one understood, followed by a half -hour speech on a visit to grain elevator, followed by another 10 minute example, etc. very proud of the fact that was able to get plush swivel chairs for students.

my ap physics c teacher is really smart and i like him- but after doing a page's worth of derivations and integrals followed by arbitrarily changing the sign of the equation a couple of times, mixed in with some strange trig diagrams... he says "that was easy, right?" and 1/2 to 3/4 of the class is going like "what the f*** did he just do" and "why am i not in physics b"
