Completed AA Degree Requirements . Degree not on transcripts

Hello,

I recently completed my transfer and AA degree requirements at Los Angeles Valley College or LAVC, and I submitted a graduation petition for Spring 2017. Semester ended back in the first week of June and I haven’t received my degree or see it awarded on my transcripts. I tried calling admissions but they are of no help.

Any idea how long it takes to get your degree after you finish your requirements? I know its just an AA degree but I currently searching for employment and want to list it on my resume .

Continue to hound the college; they’re the only ones who can fix this. You know the saying… “the squeaky wheel gets the grease.”

They just tell me to wait for an e-mail. Guess I’ll have to go through the school’s ombudsman if I don’t hear back by September :frowning:

Don’t call or email, just go. Force the issue, bring parents if you need to/want to. If you don’t get anywhere, go to the dean. We don’t know you obviously, but if you did everything you were supposed to and they didn’t give you a degree that’s inexcusable.
