Question for those who have Associates Degrees

So I recently finished up my 90 credits and I should receive my diploma for my AA sometime over the summer. Does the UW need to see that diploma or anything related to that? I mean, how will they know if I really got my Associates Degree or not?

yes, you need to send them your official transcripts. you have to order it from your college and send it to uw, you can ask your college to send it directly to uw.

also, write them that u just completed your 90 credits( they will write you back asking u to send ur official transcripts.

good luck

thank you! but just to clarify, I already sent them my official transcripts with the 90 credits, but my transcripts don’t say that I “Officially Recieved a AA Diploma” or anything like that. So how will they know if i have my actual degree? Or do they only care about the 90 credits?

if u send it, then you are good. are you listed as a junior?

so far, there is no updates on the credit( at least for me). someone here at the CC told me it takes time since it is done manually. other said it will show after they receive the $272 fee.

My CC transcript does say that I have achieved my A.A.
If your transcript doesn’t say that…better contact them asap.

(BTW it didn’t show up on my transcript until several weeks after the quarter had ended)

UW doesn’t care about the AA if you have 90 credits. I didn’t want to pay $65 for “AA” posted on my transcript from a community college I transferred to to complete 20 credits (was previously at another university) and the advisers told me it didn’t make a difference.

As long as you have 90 credit, you should be fine. AA requirement for most school are probably the same, and it is pretty much equal to the GE class in university. Advisors can tell whether you have fulfilled or not, i wouldn’t worry too much.
